HAIRDOO: a short film | film poster

Exodia, Writer and Director of HAIRDOO, reached out to me to illustrate and design a poster to represent the film at the in-person screenings and online.

HAIRDOO is a short narrative film that follows a spirited 10-year-old Black girl, Lola, on a journey of self-discovery. Set on the eve of school picture day, HAIRDOO celebrates the magic, meaning, and vulnerability woven into Black hair care rituals.With touches of magical realism, this film captures the inner life of Black girlhood, something rarely seen on screen.
